In my opinion curls is one of the magic words when it comes to awesome hairstyles…
Whether you do an updo or add a braid, with your hair curled everything gets a bit more of a wow factor :-)
Offcourse you don’t want to get at it with a curling wand every day, because yes they make beautiful curls, but they also cause damage to your hair, and cost so much time. Don’t know about you, but I don’t have that much time every morning 😉

Savvy curls has the perfect solution: a headband that curls your hair without heat! Because they’re made with thermal insulating materials & curl forming materials, they use your heads natural heat to form the curls. And that all while you are sleeping, cleaning, working out or even just watching tv.
That is kinda perfect!

I tried the double headband on Luna first, I put it in her hair before going to bed, her hair was still slightly damped from her bath, and I didn’t use any hairproducts. I also took quit big pieces of hair to wrap around.
For an instruction video how to put in the double headband, click HERE
IMG_5675b72p IMG_5674b72p IMG_5673b72pI guess the best way to test it’s ‘sleepability’ is having your kid test it lol. I mean we ladies would sleep upside down if that would give us the best curls ever, but with our kiddo’s it’s a different story. They need comfort and no limits while in bed.
Well I can honestly say that the Savvy Curls convertible wrap has passed the test! It also stayed it pretty good, since Luna always moves around in her sleep :-)
Image172pThis is what her wrapped hair looked like in the morning. The hair loosened up a bit, but stayed put.
And the result after taking it out is just incredible:
IMG_5682b72p IMG_5684b72pLike I said, hairstyles do look better with some curls:
IMG_5691b72p IMG_5688b72pSo next on the list I wanted to try the headband on myself, and this time I did it on dry hair during the day, used some hairmousse, and I took rather small pieces of hair to create a different kind of curls. I also loosened them up with my fingers afterwards.
IMG_5719b72p IMG_5721b72pCan you believe they are both done with the same headband??

Savvy Curls offers a single and a double (convertible) headband. I would rather choose the double, since you can take the top part off, and still have a single that way 😉
They come in fun colors and patterns as well!

Let me know your favorite way to curl your hair, and would you buy a Savvy Curls headband??

RIO by Jozemiek, charity bracelets aka headbands/elastics

IMG_4446beter72p

IMG_4452beter72pSometimes you come across a product that makes you think, WHY didn´t I think of that?!
That’s what I thought when I first read about RIO by Jozemiek.
Cute fashionable bracelets which you can use in your hair as elastics or headbands. I mean that’s kinda genious really!
IMG_4036beter72pWe all love them here, Luna can take them to school, and put her hair up/ out of the way whenever she pleases. So that gives her an awesome idea of self-controlling her hair 😉
And they don’t leave any marks in your hair! So no damage, woohoo!!
IMG_4437beter72p IMG_4440beter72p IMG_4438beter72pAnd offcourse they’re also perfect to use in the styles we do at home! As well for Luna as for me, they stay in great and that’s a must, especially for Luna! Cause once braided, hairstyles for kids are best if they don’t have to care about it anymore right :-)
IMG_4445beter72pSo besides being just very very handy and lovely to see, there’s another thing why I love RIO: They are charity bracelets.
That means for every sold RIO bracelet set, Jozemiek donates a meal to a streetchild in Rio de Janeiro!
So besides looking fashionable, you also help a good charity! If that doesn’t make you feel good 😉

For this good cause, Jozemiek works together with the foundation Help Mij Leven (Help me Live)
This foundation helps streetchildren in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, children who are fighting for their lives every single day…
In october 2015 Jozemiek had donated 10.000 free meals already! That’s pretty amazing isn’t it??
IMG_4451beter72pOffcourse Jozemiek has much more to offer than this one line of hairjewelry: friendshipbracelets, trendy but also bohemian bracelets, earrings and necklaces, oh and bags, let’s not forget their GORGEOUS bags!!
I sure get really greedy when I visit their site! LOL
And I know if you check them out, you’ll be to!

Check them out and spoil yourself!! You know you want to 😛

Hairburst review 1 month

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Hairburst about their Hair Growth Vitamins, and if I wanted to try them.
I’ve always been very curious about the effects of such vitamins, would they work? So my attention was there!

This is what Hairburst say on their website:
“Hairburst adds all the vital vitamins and nutrients to your diet that your body needs to grow stronger, longer hair. Our unique formula has produced fantastic results for our users, reporting hair that appears healthier, thicker, longer, shinier more manageable and faster growing as a result of using hairburst.”

That sounds very promissing doesn’t it?
Thats what I thought!

The fact that they use safe and natural ingredients in their products makes it easier to take them.
In a clinical trial of 100 people, 98% of users noticed faster hair growth after using hairburst for 3 months.

I have to admit, I am not a very good pill swallower (that sounds kinda weird huh), I can’t even swallow a paracetamol.
So when I opened my bottle op capsules, I slightly paniced :-) Cause tbh, the pills are not very small.
I did try to take them whole, but I managed to get down exactly one…
So what did I do? I cut them open and mix them with something to drink! And that works perfect. Offcourse it is always better to take them whole I guess 😉

So now for the big question, I know you’ve been waiting patiently for it: did it work??
Well these photo’s are 4 weeks apart, and see the result:
collage72pAs you can see (besides the different haircolors lol, left is still my ‘old’ color), my hair did grow, and more than the average cm it grows on it’s own.
So YES Hairburst does do your hair good! Not only made it grow my hair faster, it also made it fuller!
IMG_4427beter72p2I am very happy with the result, and I would love to see what the result is after 3 months!
